Image
Dear reader, AGAIN THIS POST HAS PLL FINAL SPOILERS!!  PLL (Pretty Little Liars) has been going on for 5 years, only I have been watching it for a one year. But it doesn't really matter how long you have been watching it, a fan is a fan. But after years of watching it despite the hours or virusses you could get from watching the episodes on scetchy websites (All the not American people do you feel me?) and hoping my virus scanner can handle it. This is what we get. This was the big A reveal. And I am dissapointed.

Review 22: The heroes of olympus #2; The son of Neptune by Rick Riordan.

Image
Dear reader, Percy is confused.  When he awoke from his long sleep, he didn't know much more than his name. His brain fuzz is lingering, even after the wolf Lupa told him he is a demigod and trained him to fight with the pen/sword in his pocket. Somehow Percy manages to make it to a camp for half-bloods, despite the fact that he has to keep killing monsters along the way. But the camp doesn't ring any bells with him. The only thing he can recall from his past is another name: Annabeth Hazel is supposed to be dead.  When she lived before, she didn't do a very good job of it. Sure, she was an obedient daughter, even when her mother was possessed by greed. But that was the problem — when the Voice took over her mother and commanded Hazel to use her "gift" for an evil purpose, Hazel couldn't say no. Now because of her mistake, the future of the world is at risk. Hazel wished she could ride away from it all on the stallion that appears in her dreams. Frank is a ...

Review 21: My heart and other black holes by Jasmine Wanga.

Image
Dear Reader, Sixteen-year-old physics nerd Aysel is obsessed with plotting her own death. With a mother who can barely look at her without wincing, classmates who whisper behind her back, and a father whose violent crime rocked her small town, Aysel is ready to turn her potential energy into nothingness. There’s only one problem: she’s not sure she has the courage to do it alone. But once she discovers a website with a section called Suicide Partners, Aysel’s convinced she’s found her solution: a teen boy with the username FrozenRobot (aka Roman) who’s haunted by a family tragedy is looking for a partner. Even though Aysel and Roman have nothing in common, they slowly start to fill in each other’s broken lives. But as their suicide pact becomes more concrete, Aysel begins to question whether she really wants to go through with it. Ultimately, she must choose between wanting to die or trying to convince Roman to live so they can discover the potential of their energy together. Ex...

Review 20 : Isla and the Happily ever after by stephanie Perkins.

Image
Dear reader, Hopeless romantic Isla has had a crush on introspective cartoonist Josh since their first year at the School of America in Paris. And after a chance encounter in Manhattan over the summer, romance might be closer than Isla imagined. But as they begin their senior year back in France, Isla and Josh are forced to confront the challenges every young couple must face, including family drama, uncertainty about their college futures, and the very real possibility of being apart.

Review 19 : Miss Peregrines Home for peculiar children by Ransom Riggs.

Image
Dear reader, A mysterious island. An abandoned orphanage. A strange collection of curious photographs. A horrific family tragedy sets sixteen-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the crumbling ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, it becomes clear that the children were more than just peculiar. They may have been dangerous. They may have been quarantined on a deserted island for good reason. And somehow—impossible though it seems—they may still be alive.

Bookemi reccomends: Fantasy.

Image
Dear reader, Welcome to a new Bookemi reccomends! This time we are going to talk about Fantasy, recommending some books, movies and a TV show! Lets start: Books: I love the serie, written by Chris Colfer (Glee superstar, I KNOW I AM FANGIRLING TOO!), The land of stories. It is about a twin sister and brother who couldn't be more different. Alex is a true nerd and Connor just wants to do everything but school. After their fathers death world has turned upside down. And when they go through this magical portal traveling by their grandmothers storybook, they find themselfs in a land full of tales as oldest time stories. Movies: Next to the all time fantasy classics like Harry Potter or Lord Of The Rings ( Who are also my all time faves) I went with something different. It is a fantasy musical movie with just the most amazing cast ever. Meryl Streep (goddest herself), Anna Kendrick (yes she is way more talented then making music with cups), and a few scenes with ...

review 18 : All the bright places by Jennifer Niven

Image
Dear reader, Welcome to a new post! Before we start with the review lets start with a summary: Theodore Finch  is fascinated by death, and he constantly thinks of ways he might kill himself. But each time, something good, no matter how small, stops him. Violet Markey  lives for the future, counting the days until graduation, when she can escape her Indiana town and her aching grief in the wake of her sister’s recent death.  When Finch and Violet meet on the ledge of the bell tower at school, it’s unclear who saves whom. And when they pair up on a project to discover the “natural wonders” of their state, both Finch and Violet make more important discoveries: It’s only with Violet that Finch can be himself—a weird, funny, live-out-loud guy who’s not such a freak after all. And it’s only with Finch that Violet can forget to count away the days and start living them. But as Violet’s world grows, Finch’s begins to shrink. I quite enjoyed this book, but not as mutch ...

Bookemi recommends: Drama.

Image
Dear reader, Welcome to the second, bookemi recommends! Today I will recommend you drama, this in the form of a book, TV-show and movie. Here we go! Book: When I think of a dramatic book I think of we were liars by E. Lockhart. The summary: We are the Liars. We are beautiful, privileged and live a life of carefree luxury. We are cracked and broken. A story of love and romance. A tale of tragedy. Which are lies? Which is truth? You decide I know right, such a vague summary. But really it is all you need and want to know. I liked this book, never saw the plottwist coming at the end. Nothing more to say, it would only spoil you ;) TV-show: ALOT of popular TV-shows are drama's, but for me Game Of Thrones is the best drama TV-show out there! There is no need on even trying to explain what it is about, just watch it. A book to TV-show adaptation too. If you don't like bloody, sometimes harsh or fight scenes. Then don't waste your time, but if you d...

Review 17 : Alienated by Melissa Landers.

Image
Dear reader, If you like  aliens, comedie, romance and a bit of drama, then you need to pick up this book! A little summary: Two years ago, the aliens made contact. Now Cara Sweeney is going to be sharing a bathroom with one of them.  Handpicked to host the first-ever L’eihr exchange student, Cara thinks her future is set. Not only does she get a free ride to her dream college, she’ll have inside information about the mysterious L’eihrs that every journalist would kill for. Cara’s blog following is about to skyrocket. Still, Cara isn’t sure what to think when she meets Aelyx. Humans and L’eihrs have nearly identical DNA, but cold, infuriatingly brilliant Aelyx couldn’t seem more alien. She’s certain about one thing, though: no human boy is this good-looking. But when Cara's classmates get swept up by anti-L'eihr paranoia, Midtown High School suddenly isn't safe anymore. Threatening notes appear in Cara's locker, and a police officer has to escort her and Aelyx t...

Demi recommends: Romantic Comedy.

Image
Dear reader, A new concept, Bookemi recommends! It is basiccly a post with a particular genre in which I will reccomend one book, one movie and one TV shows. So let's begin! Book: I reccomend Fangirl By Rainbow Rowell . This book is amazeballs. It is relatable as a fangirl, fun and makes you believe in love again :) Summary from Goodreads: Cath is a Simon Snow fan. Okay, the whole world is a Simon Snow fan... But for Cath, being a fan is her life—and she’s really good at it. She and her twin sister, Wren, ensconced themselves in the Simon Snow series when they were just kids; it’s what got them through their mother leaving. Reading. Rereading. Hanging out in Simon Snow forums, writing Simon Snow fan fiction, dressing up like the characters for every movie premiere. Cath’s sister has mostly grown away from fandom, but Cath can’t let go. She doesn’t want to. Now that they’re going to college, Wren has told Cath she doesn’t want to be roommates. Cath is on her own, comp...

Review 16: Zali Luna, Movie star. by Emma Jamvold

Dear reader, Zali Luna is just a normal 16 year old girl. Besides her friends, family and her pretty normal and boring life in Australia. And as if that isn't overwelming enough, she has to kiss her fellow actor. The dashing and beautiful Oliver Lamond. One little problem she is probably the only 16 year old girl who has never been kissed!! Zali has to face her fears and figure out how she is going to pull of being a movie star in this big hollywood world. And choose between a dashing movie star and a beautiful driver. A couple of weeks ago the wirter of this book, Emma Jamvold, contacted me via Goodreads and asked if I wanted to read her book and review it. And ofcourse I was not going to say no. Review 15: Shadow kiss by Richelle Mead (#3 in the Vampire Academy series)

Image
Dear reader, Summary of the book from Goodreads: It's springtime at St. Vladimir's Academy, and Rose Hathaway is this close to graduation. Since making her first Strigoi kills, Rose hasn't been feeling quite right. She's having dark thoughts, behaving erratically, and worst of all... might be seeing ghosts. As Rose questions her sanity, new complications arise. Lissa has begun experimenting with her magic once more, their enemy Victor Dashkov might be set free, and Rose's forbidden relationship with Dimitri is starting to heat up again. But when a deadly threat no one saw coming changes their entire world, Rose must put her own life on the line - and choose between the two people she loves most.  This book was amazing, in my opinion the best one yet. My feeling with the first book was: Nice book but a little bit Vampire story 'cheesy'. But this wipes that entire feeling away.  It has still alot of action and humor in it, but in this one also darkne...
