Movie Monday 2: Reviewing Inside Out!

Dear Reader,

Count me guilty... I am a massive Disney Geek!
I love the movies, some of the TV shows and the theme parks ( In December I am going to Disney Land Paris again! Whoohoo) And last Saturday I went to the Dutch version of Inside out with my Aunt, Niece and Nephew. ( That's why there was no ShowSaturday.. Sorry!)

The Summary from IMDB:

Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it's no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions - Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness. The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley's mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley's main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.

Overall opinion (spoiler free): 
So let me split this movie in 3 parts: The beginning, the middle and the end.
The beginning was nice, the movie starts funny and slowely explains what goes on in the head of the main character Riley. I think it is hard to explain a thing like this so the way they made you understand the way the brains work is done beautifully. It was fun to meet the five different emotions. I personally liked Disgust because she was a bit sassy and joy well.. was joyfull. But Sadness constantly fell in to this little pile of sadness and said these really sad things that actually made it funny. Then we come tot the middle, where the problem starts ect. This was sometimes a bit confusing for me. I liked it but sometimes we were like... wait what?! (getting into detail in the spoiler section). and the end was just like the beginning nice and ofcourse (it is Disney what do you expect) the purpose of this movie, was one we can learn from. 

Detailed opinion (SPOILERS AHEAD):

Let's stay with the movie in three parts.
As I said the beginning was great. The whole memories in the form of a marble kind of thing. and the way it was arranged in Riley her head was well made! I would love if my brain would work like that. With the marbles, islands and headquarters. Then we come to the middle, this is where stuff goes wrong in the storie. Sadness touches the marbles which makes the joyfull memories sad, but Joy wants to keep Riley happy all the time, things go wrong and Joy and Sadness somehow go through this big  tube which throws them far and away from headquarters. And when only, Fear, Anger and Disgust have to take over.. Shizzle goes wrong. But this is where me and my aunt were like.. What? because we seriously thought this movie was about  girl who gets seriously depressed. But luckily it wasn't. Just a girl who has to deal with a new environment, and can't always be happy about everything. Which also brings us back to the end and the meaning of the story, you can't only have happy memories. 

I gave it 8 out of 10 Starts on IMDB!
