Review 15: Shadow kiss by Richelle Mead (#3 in the Vampire Academy series)

Summary of the book from Goodreads:
It's springtime at St. Vladimir's Academy, and Rose Hathaway is this
close to graduation. Since making her first Strigoi kills, Rose hasn't been
feeling quite right. She's having dark thoughts, behaving erratically, and
worst of all... might be seeing ghosts.
As Rose questions her sanity, new complications arise. Lissa has begun experimenting with her magic once more, their enemy Victor Dashkov might be set free, and Rose's forbidden relationship with Dimitri is starting to heat up again. But when a deadly threat no one saw coming changes their entire world, Rose must put her own life on the line - and choose between the two people she loves most.

This book was amazing, in my opinion the best one yet.
My feeling with the first book was: Nice book but a little bit Vampire story 'cheesy'.
But this wipes that entire feeling away. It has still alot of action and humor in it, but in this one also darkness and serious subjects. The character development from Rose, Oh my! She is still a badass, fighting machine like she will always be. But she changes and becomes more protective then she already was, but also sees that there is more in the world then just protecting Lissa. She grows alot in this book and that was really nice to read, and to be a part of.
If you Haven't read this book, or the first two, then I suggest to stop reading!

Okay so as I said before, HUGE character development! She becomes more open and vulnerable in this book, she really opens up to Dimmitri and I loved reading that she finally trusts someone with her darkest deepest worries. I also love at the end how she said to Lissa that it was time to take care of herself, but then she said about killing strigoi Dimmitri and well she shouldn't do that but then again, he would have wanted it. Btw I never suspected Dimmitri to die! I did sense a whole someone is going to die vibe, but I thought It was going to be her mother. THE FEELS OMG THE FEELS!! But when he was bitten and all I did thought, oh no someone will go strigoi grazy!!!
The last conversation with Adrian and Rose, like wow. At the beginning I really thought Adrian was just trying to get in to her pants but no, he actually has real feelings for Rose! So yeah little character development for him too! Omg, I hate queen Tatianna! That girl needs to calm down and stop trying to control Lissa her life.
Let me know in the comments if you agree or disagree with my opinions and tell me what you think of this serie/ book(s).
Love, me.
