TV show review on 13 reasons why!

Dear reader.

Unfortunatley this show isn't as fiction as we might hope it will be.
I watched all 13 episodes in 4 days and wandered through my mind during those days. So here I am, writing an review on the show that blew up Netflix (and made some amazing memes!)

Summary from IMDB:
Follow teenager Clay Jensen, in his quest to uncover the story behind his classmate and crush, Hannah, and her decision to end her life.

Keywords that describe the show:
-Mystery
-Drama
-Thriller
-Suicide
-teen tragedy
-Romance
-Humor (sometimes)

Overall opinion (Spoiler free):
At first I thought this wouldn't be as 'Suprising' as it was. Usually when you have a teenage drama TV-show or movie you can 9/10 times guess what is going to happend (not perticually bad). But this one really gives you those 'OMG' moments. It takes on some really serious topics like suicide and more very serious topics and I don't reccomend watching it when you are very sensitive for these kind of stories and images! But if you are very confident about the fact that it won't harm you I highly reccomend watching it! It is very well written and takes topics without suger coating it.
I wasn't fond of the actor who plays the main character Clay at first and other actors as well but as the show goes on it starts to grow further and the characters get some massive developments.

Detailed opinion (Detailed! SPOILERS!):
So, this serie was amazing and intense. Especially the last few episodes. Let me just, start at the last few. I am not someone who is easily 'scared off' by topics like these. So the note at the beginning of some of the last episodes saying that there would be pretty serious scenes didn't threw me off (or something like that). And they didn't at the end but it did made me swallow away my tears. When the 'Suicide' scene started I thought it would go blank right before we saw here cutting her arms and wrists, but we actually see her doing it.  I was very happy that is also took on the very serious on of the fact that Hannah gets sexualised because of pictures and even get's raped for it. Catcalling and sexualising the female body is such a problem in our modern day society that I thought it was very important that this show took on this topic. I have read alot of articles about people who didn't like the show because of the main character Hannah. I do agree with some of these people. Hannah was a character that was quite living in her own world and blew up some these events that 'made' her kill herself. Some even say that she was too dramatic. And yes, she was. She didn't had to kill herself for some of these events like Clay's or even the event with Alex and Jessica. But remeber she is a teenager and I think alot of teenagers who commit suicide think this way. Because Clay, Jessica, Alex, Justin, Tyler, Zach, Courtney, Sheri and all those other people did not kill Hannah Baker. Only Hannah and Bryce did that.

I hope you likes my review and let me know in the comments what your thoughts on the show were.

Love,
me
