The mortal instruments: The books, the movie and the TV show!

Image
Dear reader, The Mortal Instruments, the book serie that made me continue reading English. And, in my opinion, a very good read. A little summary of what the story is about, decribed on goodreads ( Only the first book City of Bones, so that the ones who are not further then the first one won't get spoiled.): The shadowhunters- touched by angels and charged with protecting innocents- battle demons and other evil in the bestselling Mortal Instruments series. City of bones When Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder. Much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with odd markings. This is Clary's first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons- and keeping the odd werewolves and vampires in line. It's also her first meeting with the gorgeous, golden-haired Jace. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace's world with a vengeance, when her moth...

Review 14 : Paper towns by John Green.

Image
Dear reader, Everyone gets a miracle, Quentins miracle was his neigbour, Margo Roth Spiegelman. And when this popular and adventurous girl sneakes into his bedroom one night, Q's life is about to change. Because when he helps her with the plan of revenge, he does things he has never done before and never thought he would ever do. After the amazing and thrilling night Q is waiting for the next schoolday with Margo, but the always running girl has become a mystery once again. He is shure of the fact that he is the one to follow the trail of breadcrums to the mad world of the girl he thought he knew, dragging his friends into the same mess. When I started reading this John Green book, I absolutely fell for it. The way this man writes is amazing, And after 4 chapter I was already hooked. But as the story went further I began to dislike the story line. The main character was changing and in my opinion turning mad with the idea of finding this girl who is really cool but also very...

Review 13: Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell.

Image
Dear reader, Eleanor is the new girl. And eventhough she has bright red hair, wears clothes that doesn't match her gender or her size, she tries to be invisible to her mom, siblings and most of all her stephdad. But eventhough the bullies are everywhere, and her anxiety takes over sometimes, she will never be invisible to Park, Stupid adorable asian kid. Park is the kid in the back of the bus who actually does a great job of making himself invisible, with just his headphones, comic books and mixtapes. But when the new annoying girl becomes more then just his schoolbus friend, his life will never ever be the same again, At first sight this book looked like a cute romance novel to me. And it is, but with this John Green not suggercoated element. Because as we see alot in movies, and read alot in book it is a story about a misfit girl living in a tough world, but with a boy by her side who likes her for who she is. That is the whole cute romance part. But because this is a book...

Movie review 1: Insurgent.

Image
Dear reader, A couple weeks ago I went to a divergent marathon, so yes that means about 4 hours of watching this triology come to live. I am very happy with the first one, but with Insurgent I am not so shure. Please before you read any further, if you haven't seen the film yet and you don't want to get some spoilers or you haven't read the book yet and also not wat to get spoiled, it is best if you stop reading!! I dont want to spoil or maybe change your perspective on this movie without seeing it. So bye bye and till next time ;) It is like a year ago when i read Insurgent, so the little details of the story were not really clear to me. I did remember some big events and well I asumed that was enough. I might have been wrong. When I was watching this movie i constanlty thought, wait.. did this happen in the book? In the divergent movie, they left out some details from the books. I was fine with that, no worries. But the strange thing was that suddenly they were in I...
